Las Vegas is a major destination for shopping, entertainment, and vacations. Not only that, there are fabulous scenic areas within a short drive of the city like Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and the Valley of Fire. You won't want to miss seeing any of those places.
There is lots of golf too, but it does get pretty darn hot in the summer. So you might want to think about taking a cart, an air-conditioned one at that!
And in 2007, the NBA All Star Game is slated to be played at the Thomas and Mack Center, the first time that the game will be played in a non-NBA city.
